The invention discloses a surface treatment method of a soft brass wire, which is characterized by comprising the following steps: 1) acid pickling: the annealed soft brass wire is put into an acid pickling tank for acid pickling, and the acid pickling solution comprises the following components in percentage by mass: 2-10wt% of sulfuric acid, 1.5-8wt% of nitric acid and the balance of water; the pickling temperature is room temperature, and the pickling time is 1-15 min; (2) primary water washing is conducted, specifically, the brass wire subjected to acid washing is subjected to room-temperature washing; drying treatment is set after the brass wire is cleaned, volatilization of water on the surface of the brass wire is accelerated by means of strong volatility of the organic solvent, the problem that water stains appear on the surface of the brass wire cleaned through a conventional process is solved, and meanwhile the antioxidant and the decontaminant added into the organic solvent can effectively prevent
