Summary:The present invention relates to a vapor canister for a vehicle evaporative emission control system, comprising: a canister housing (20) defining an interior volume (22) for receiving one or more volumes of sorbent (24.1, 24.2, 24.3) therein; a fuel vapor inlet port (26) for connecting the canister with a fuel tank (16); an exhaust port (28) for drawing fresh air into the canister; a purge port (30) for withdrawing fuel vapors from the canister; and a pump (50) integrated with the tank housing (20). An integrated pump (50) is actuated to provide an operating pressure or underpressure in the tank.
