The invention provides a method and a system for calculating oiliness indexes of sandstone interlayers in a shale bed series. The method comprises the following steps: calculating thickness indexes of a plurality of sandstone interlayers; determining a plurality of major oil shale development layer sections; calculating a distance index between each sandstone interlayer and the nearest major oil shale development layer section; calculating permeability indexes of the plurality of sandstone interlayers; calculating a potential difference index between each sandstone interlayer and the nearest major oil shale development layer section; and calculating according to the thickness index, the distance index, the permeability index, the potential difference index, the plurality of weight coefficients and a sandstone interlayer oiliness index calculation formula to obtain sandstone interlayer oiliness indexes of the plurality of sandstone interlayers.
