Summary: | The invention discloses a dendritic mesoporous silica microsphere loaded carbene catalyst and application thereof in catalyzing synthesis of cyclic carbonate from carbon dioxide. According to the catalyst, carbene groups are grafted on the surfaces of dendritic mesoporous silica microspheres. By utilizing the unique advantages of high specific surface area and high active sites of the catalyst, the catalyst can catalyze the cycloaddition reaction of CO2 to synthesize cyclic carbonate under the conditions of normal pressure, no solvent and no cocatalyst, and the catalyst has higher selectivity and conversion rate on the cycloaddition reaction, and is stable in structure and good in recyclability.
