Summary: | The invention relates to a plate flanging method adopting an L-shaped magnetic field converter. The method comprises the steps that the L-shaped magnetic field converter is manufactured; a plate to be flanged is fixed through a blank holder, and a magnetic field converter is placed; a driving coil is arranged below the base of the magnetic field converter; the female die is placed above the edge pressing area of the to-be-flanged plate and fixed; connecting the driving coil to a pulse power supply through a discharge switch; and the discharge switch is controlled to supply power to the driving coil, induced eddy current is generated in the L-shaped magnetic field converter and the to-be-formed area of the to-be-flanged plate, the to-be-formed area of the plate is made to move towards the female die, and plate flanging is completed.
