Summary: | The composite sealing structure comprises a carrier ring (33) and a sealing element (35) housed in an annular groove formed between a circumferential outer wall and two side walls of the carrier ring (33). The sealing element has a first region in surface-to-surface contact with the annular groove and a second sealing region (35.12) protruding from the annular groove. A fastening arrangement couples the sealing element (35) and the carrier ring (33) to each other. The fastening arrangement comprises a plurality of fastening pins (37) arranged circumferentially about the axis of the carrier ring. A method for manufacturing the sealing structure is also disclosed.
