Summary: | The invention discloses a preparation method of submicron carboxyl-functionalized polystyrene microspheres, which mainly comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing a styrene monomer without a flame retardant with deionized water, then mixing with methacrylic acid, an emulsifier, a co-emulsion and a dispersant, finally adding an initiator at 30-60 DEG C, and reacting at 60-90 DEG C for 2-12 hours to obtain the submicron carboxyl-functionalized polystyrene microspheres. A nitrogen environment is kept in the whole experiment process, and the obtained emulsion is washed with ethanol and dried to prepare the submicron carboxyl functionalized polystyrene microspheres. The microspheres prepared by the method have the characteristics of uniform size, high sphericity, mild synthesis conditions, simplicity in operation, easiness in repetition and the like, and have great application potential in preparation of porous materials.
