Summary: | A method of treating and utilizing a waste liquid containing at least a polyester degradation product and derived from an alkaline decomposition process for obtaining a cellulosic raw material from a hybrid textile waste containing at least one cellulosic component and a polyester component. In order to make the process more environmentally friendly and more resource-saving, it is proposed that the process comprises the steps of evaporating water from the waste liquid to precipitate the polyester degradation product from the waste liquid and to obtain a two-phase mixture having an aqueous phase and a solid phase comprising the polyester degradation product, b) separating the solid phase from the aqueous phase, and c) utilizing the solid phase with heat/energy.
