The antimicrobial foaming composition of the present invention comprises a cationic active ingredient, a cationic compatible surfactant, a foam accelerator, a foam structure enhancer, a skin aid, and a carrier. The antimicrobial compositions of the present invention do not have the antimicrobial agent triclosan (i.e., 2, 4, 4 '-trichloro-2'-hydroxy-diphenyl ether) and lower alcohols. It also does not contain an anionic surfactant.
