Summary: | The invention discloses a method and a device for measuring and correcting multi-line time bias. The method comprises: receiving a sequence of codewords, wherein each codeword is received as a set of line signals; generating a set of MIC output signals for each codeword using a set of multiple input comparators (MICs), each set of MIC output signals being generated by forming a mutually orthogonal combination of a set of line signals from a set of decoder coefficients represented by rows of an orthogonal matrix; during receiving the codeword sequence, detecting a particular codeword sequence, and responsively determining a line-specific transition associated with the particular codeword sequence; generating a time offset measurement of at least one transition in the set of MIC output signals during a particular codeword sequence; and updating a line-specific time offset value for each line based on the time offset measurements and a line-specific transition associated with the specific codeword sequence.
