Summary: | The invention discloses a preparation method of a catalyst for preparing ethylene through ethanol dehydration. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) pickling; (2) alkali washing; (3) forming acid; and (4) modifying. According to the method, the common and commercially available silica gel carrier is subjected to acid washing and alkali washing, then the acid solution is introduced for reaction to form the silicic acid, and finally the heteropolyacid and/or the heteropolyacid salt are introduced to generate the silicon-containing heteropolyacid and/or the silicon-containing heteropolyacid salt on the surface of the silica gel carrier, so that the method is simple in step, environment-friendly, easy to amplify, mild in condition, stable and controllable in process, short in preparation period and suitable for industrial production.
