The invention provides a water-based heat-reflection heat-insulation coating and a preparation method thereof. The water-based heat-reflection heat-insulation coating is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 25-40% of water-based acrylic resin, 10-30% of rutile titanium dioxide, 8-20% of silicon dioxide aerogel, 10-20% of ground calcium carbonate, 0-10% of wet sericite powder, 3-7% of auxiliaries and 8-25% of deionized water. A coating formed by the prepared heat-reflection heat-insulation coating is high in infrared ray reflecting capacity, sunlight irradiating the coating of the heat-reflection heat-insulation coating is scattered in the coating and finally reflected to the outside of the coating, the sunlight energy absorption of the coating and the surface of a base material is further reduced, and the heat-reflection heat-insulation coating has a good heat-reflection heat-insulation effect.
