Summary:The disclosed embodiments provide for detection of fraudulent electronic security tokens. The cracked private key allows forgery of the electronic security token, which then allows access to the computer resource. Some embodiments track serial numbers issued by a token issuer, and then can predict serial numbers issued forward by the token issuer. Some embodiments also determine the validity of the token based at least in part on a service or client attempting to access the resource using the token. For example, some disclosed embodiments maintain reputation data for a client or service utilizing an electronic token, and determine whether the token is likely to be valid based on the client or service reputation.
