Summary: | The invention discloses a metal iridium photocatalyst and a preparation method and application thereof.The molecular formula of the metal iridium photocatalyst is C34H22F14IrN4P. The preparation method of the metal iridium photocatalyst comprises the steps that an intermediate I synthesized by 2-bromopyridine and 4-fluorophenylboronic acid serves as a ligand and is subjected to a coordination reaction with an iridium compound to generate an intermediate II, and then the intermediate II and 4, 4-bis (trifluoromethyl)-2, 2-dipyridyl or 5, 5-dipyridyl are subjected to a reaction to generate the metal iridium photocatalyst. The preparation method comprises the following steps: reacting 2, 5-bis (trifluoromethyl)-2, 2-dipyridyl to obtain an intermediate III, and finally replacing chlorine with PF6 by using an ammonium hexafluorophosphate aqueous solution to obtain the metal iridium photocatalyst.
