Summary: | The invention discloses a Co-N-C composite material with a self-supporting multilevel structure as well as a preparation method and application of the Co-N-C composite material. Functionalized carbon paper is used as a substrate material, cobalt salt and a nitrogen-containing ligand are subjected to a hydrothermal reaction to obtain a Co-MOF electrode material growing on the carbon paper in situ, and the Co-N-C/CP electrode material is prepared through an annealing process and can be used as a full-hydrolysis self-supporting electrode material. The prepared electrode material is uniform in morphology, maximum utilization of redox active sites is achieved, enough electron/ion transmission channels are provided, and the electrochemical performance of the electrode material is effectively improved. The method has the advantages of low raw material cost, simple operation process, short reaction time and high reproducibility.
