Summary:A steering device (10) is provided with a restricting bracket (40) attached to an inner tube (13). The restricting bracket has one restricting plate (50), a pair of hanging plates (61), and a pair of side plates (63). The restricting plate overlaps the outer peripheral surface (13a) of the inner tube and has a long hole (51) along the length of the inner tube. A coupling bolt (52) inserted through the long hole fastens the restricting plate to the outer peripheral surface. The hanging plates extend from the limiting plate along the inner surfaces of a pair of clamping parts (23) of the outer column (12). The side plates extend from the top ends (61b) of the hanging plates along the outer surfaces of the clamping parts and are clamped between the clamping parts and the outer column supporting parts (11a). Each of the hanging plates and each of the side plates has a long hole (63a) for telescopic adjustment through which a clamping bolt (31) passes.
