Summary: | The invention provides a dication co-doped high-nickel ternary positive electrode material and a preparation method thereof. The molecular formula of the positive electrode material is LiNi < x > Co < y > Mn < z > MaQ < b > O < 2 >, wherein M is at least one of Sr, Ca, Sn, Ba and Y with large ion radius; q is at least one of Zr, Ti and Ru with strong binding energy with oxygen; wherein 0.5 < = x < 1, 0 < z < = y < x, 0.001 < = a < = 0.05, 0.001 < = b < = 0.05, and x + y + z + a + b = 1. According to the invention, M and Q are added into the high-nickel ternary material, so that the problems of poor rate capability, serious attenuation of capacity and voltage in the circulation process and the like of the existing high-nickel ternary positive electrode material can be effectively solved.
