Abstract | A preparation method of 2-cyanobenzaldehyde and derivatives thereof belongs to the field of preparation of drug intermediates, and comprises the following steps: sequentially adding a palladium catalyst, a ligand and an acid-binding agent into a reaction solvent, then adding o-halogenated cyanobenzene and derivatives thereof, and paraformaldehyde, stirring and heating to 80-110 DEG C, reacting for 6-24 hours, filtering, washing, and drying to obtain 2-cyanobenzaldehyde. And carrying out post-treatment to obtain the high-purity 2-cyanobenzaldehyde and the derivative thereof.
