Summary: | The invention relates to an electrolyte additive. The electrolyte additive comprises a silicon-containing compound and a fluorine-containing compound, the silicon-containing compound is selected from one or more of compounds with structural characteristics as shown in the following formula (I); the fluorine-containing compound is selected from one or more of fluoroethylene carbonate, fluorocarboxylate with the carbon atom number of 2-7 and fluoroether with the carbon atom number of 2-7. The electrolyte additive can effectively prolong the cycle life of an energy storage device and improve the high-temperature storage performance of the energy storage device.
