Provided is an automatic travel cart which has good access to a deck for a transport object and also takes a negative countermeasure against the access being made good. The automatic traveling cart is provided with a deck on which a person, a cargo, or both of the person and the cargo to be transported are placed. At least a portion of the periphery of the deck is opened in order to achieve good access of an object to the deck.
