The method comprises the following steps: arranging MTBFs of field replaceable units (LRU) of a weapon system; calculating the damage number of the LRU under a certain guarantee probability to predict the number of spare parts required for reaching the certain guarantee probability; in combination with the unselected spare parts influencing the combat, considering whether the spare parts are dual-redundancy design or not, and selecting the LRU which influences the combat and is not dual-redundancy as the spare parts; and evaluating the spare part configuration of the final weapon system.
