Summary:The present invention relates to a dispersion-hardened platinum composition comprising up to 29.95% by weight of one of the metals rhodium, gold, iridium and palladium, 0.05% to 1% by weight of an oxide of non-noble metals zirconium, yttrium and scandium, and as the balance of at least 70% by weight of platinum, including impurities, wherein 7.0 mol% to 11.0 mol% of the non-noble metal oxides are yttrium oxide, 0.1 mol% to 5.0 mol% of the oxides are scandium oxide, and the remaining oxides are zirconium oxide, including oxide impurities.
