Summary:The invention provides a multi-element metal hydroxide as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: soaking a conductive substrate in a mixed solution containing a first metal salt and an ammonia-containing compound, and carrying out hydrothermal reaction to obtain a nanocrystalline seed; and immersing the nanocrystalline seed into a mixed solution containing a second metal salt and an ammonia-containing compound, and carrying out a hydrothermal reaction to obtain the multi-element metal hydroxide. The invention also provides the multi-element metal hydroxide which is obtained by the preparation method, and the multi-element metal hydroxide comprises a nano crystal seed structure.
