The invention discloses a preparation method of zirconium silicate nano-powder, which comprises the following steps: mixing zircon salt, a silicon source, a mineralizer, saccharides and urea according to a certain proportion, placing the mixture in a container, and uniformly stirring and mixing under a heating condition to obtain a molten mixed solution; heating the molten mixed solution until the saccharides are dehydrated and carbonized to obtain a black brown solid; and carrying out heat treatment on the black brown solid to obtain the zirconium silicate nano powder which is monodisperse, uniform in size and single in crystal form. According to the method, on one hand, the reaction temperature, the reaction raw material cost and the requirement for equipment can be reduced, the reaction uniformity and the controllability of the reaction process can be improved, the process is simplified, on the other hand, the condition of particle aggregation can be reduced, and the prepared zirconium silicate nano powder
