The invention relates to the technical field of medicines, and provides application of flutamide or a derivative thereof in preparation of a medicine for treating metastatic liver cancer. Furthermore, the invention also provides a pharmaceutical composition for treating metastatic liver cancer, which consists of flutamide or the derivative thereof and pharmaceutically acceptable auxiliary materials. A mouse in-vivo experiment shows that flutamide obviously inhibits the growth of tumor cells and prevents malignant tumors from causing the occurrence and development of metastatic liver cancer, and experiment results are verified in a castration experiment and a refilling experiment.
