The invention discloses a protective glove for electric welding and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: step 1, selecting raw materials; step 2, preparing purified terephthalic acid/graphene oxide/ethylene glycol modified slurry; step 3, esterification reaction; step 4, condensation polymerization; step 5, drying the obtained modified graphene flame-retardant polyester master batch, then heating and melting, filtering by a spinning manifold, and spinning into bundles; step 6, weaving the obtained graphene flame-retardant polyester filaments into a woven fabric through a tatting process; step 7, preparing a flame retardant finishing liquid, stirring, heating, immersing the fabric into the finishing liquid, removing redundant finishing liquid through a dipping and pressing roller and extrusion, and drying by a drying machine; and step 8, cutting and sewing the obtained fabric according to a glove template.
