Summary:Methods and systems are provided for hydraulic actuation of axle system components. A hydraulic system in an electric axle is provided in one example and includes a housing including a plurality of housing sections enclosing an electric motor and a gearbox, the system further including a hydraulic pump hydraulically coupled to the housing and configured to supply pressurized fluid to a solenoid valve through a plurality of fluid passages.
