Summary: | An ejection pipe (140) is connected to a refrigerant container (120) from the outside of a vacuum container (130), and ejects vaporized refrigerant (10G). A pair of external leads (150) are respectively electrically connected to the ends of a superconducting coil (110) from a position outside the vacuum container (130) so as to cause an electric current to flow through the superconducting coil (110). A protection circuit (160) is electrically connected to the superconducting coil (110), and consumes energy stored in the superconducting coil (110) during quenching. The protection circuit (160) is in contact with the ejection pipe (140) on the outside of the vacuum container (130).
