The invention discloses a diffusion plate, a preparation method, a backlight module and a display device. The diffusion plate comprises a diffusion plate body; and a brightness enhancement membrane which is arranged in a dark light area of the diffusion plate body and is used for adjusting part of light in a bright light area of the diffusion plate body to the dark light area, wherein the dark light area is an area where the brightness value of the light source irradiating to the diffusion plate body is smaller than a preset threshold value; and the bright light area is an area where the brightness value of the light source irradiating to the diffusion plate body is greater than or equal to the preset threshold value.
