The invention discloses a preparation method of barium titanate nano-powder. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing barium salt, a titanium source, saccharides and urea according to a certain ratio, putting the obtained mixture into a container, and carrying out uniform stirring and mixing under a heating condition of 60-120 DEG C to obtain a molten mixed solution; heating the molten mixed solution until the saccharides are dehydrated and carbonized to obtain a black brown solid; and carrying out heat treatment on the black brown solid to obtain the barium titanate nano-powder which is monodisperse, uniform in size and single in crystal form.
