The method comprises the steps: obtaining the frequency and sound velocity value of to-be-detected gas, taking the frequency of the to-be-detected gas as an independent variable, and taking the sound velocity value of the to-be-detected gas as a dependent variable to construct a sound velocity frequency dispersion spectrum curve function; calculating to obtain the relaxation frequency and the sound velocity value of an inflection point on the sound velocity frequency dispersion spectrum curve according to the coefficient value of the sound velocity frequency dispersion spectrum curve function; and determining the gas components of the to-be-detected gas according to different relaxation frequencies and sound velocity values of the corresponding inflection points under different gases and different concentrations.
