Summary: | The invention relates to a corrosion-resistant aluminothermic welding flux suitable for a U68CuCr steel rail and a welding method thereof. The aluminothermic welding flux comprises, by weight, 17.0%-17.6% of aluminum powder, 62.4%-64.0% of iron oxide, 9%-10% of cast iron pills with the C content being 3%-3.5%, 0.5%-0.7% of Mn, 0.15%-0.25% of Cu, 0.2%-0.3% of Cr, 0.10%-0.16% of Nb and the balance iron scraps with the C content being smaller than or equal to 0.1%. By improving the formula and the welding process, the corrosion resistance of a welding joint of the U68CuCr steel rail is improved by about 40%, selective corrosion of the part is effectively prevented, the service life of the steel rail is greatly prolonged, and the running safety of a train is guaranteed. The corrosion resistance of an aluminothermic welding joint is improved, meanwhile, the strength and hardness of the aluminothermic welding joint are not affected, the aluminothermic welding joint even can be matched with a U68CuCr steel rail base |
