Summary:The invention provides a motor fault detection system and method. The system includes a data collection sensor electrically coupled to a motor and a processor, wherein the processor is used as a motor current characteristic analyzer, detects the performance condition of the motor only based on the detected power consumption current data collected by the data collection sensor, and provides condition information indicating faults in the motor based on the detected performance condition of the motor.
