A syringe cap assembly (10) is to be mounted over a discharge port at the distal end of a syringe (11) and is provided with: a lock collar (13) that is mounted over the discharge port at the distal end of the syringe (11); and a plastic cap (14) which screwed to and fastened to the lock collar (13). Projecting strip ribs (13a) extending in the axial direction are provided along the circumferential direction on the outer surface of the lock collar (13), and define a plurality of U-shaped grooves (13b) extending in the axial direction between the respective adjacent projecting strip ribs (13a) along the circumferential direction. The bottom section of the exterior surface of the plastic cap (14) includes a protrusion (14p) that extends toward the side of the lock collar (13).
