Summary:The invention provides an MAD7-NLS fusion protein, which has the following structure: B1-C-B2, B1-C or C-B2, wherein C is MAD7 protein; and b1 and B2 are independently nuclear localization signal (NLS) sequences. The invention also provides a nucleic acid construct for site-directed editing of a plant genome,which comprises a first expression cassette, and the first expression cassette comprises a first promoter, a coding nucleotide sequence of the MAD7-NLS fusion protein and a first terminator which are connected in sequence. The invention also provides application of the nucleic acid construct in plant gene editing.
