The invention discloses a self-emulsifying metal protection treatment fluid based on an amphoteric sulfhydryl compound. The self-emulsifying metal protection treatment fluid is mainly composed of the amphoteric sulfhydryl compound, a silane coupling agent and a neutralizer, and the amphoteric sulfhydryl compound is a reaction product of alkyl glycidyl ether and SH-(CH2)m-NH2. The self-emulsifying metal protection treatment fluid is suitable for treating metal products such as copper, copper alloy and silver.
