The invention provides application of methyl thiobutyrate in prevention and treatment of tomato fusarium wilt, and a composition for prevention and treatment of tomato fusarium wilt, and the composition contains methyl thiobutyrate. The application of the methyl thiobutyrate in prevention and treatment of the tomato fusarium wilt is provided for the first time, and the methyl thiobutyrate is a biological natural product, has no residual harm to human and the environment and is high in safety. Experiments prove that the methyl thiobutyrate solution can almost kill 100% of tomato fusarium wilt when the concentration is greater than or equal to 5mg/ml, and has a remarkable effect; and in a pot experiment, the prevention and treatment effect on tomato wilt can reach 67.4% by adopting 2mg/ml of ME solution for treatment.
