Summary: | The invention discloses a polypropylene catalyst and a preparation method thereof. The polypropylene catalyst mainly comprises a magnesium halide alcohol adduct carrier, titanium halide and an internal electron donor compound. The skeleton of the internal electron donor compound is a phosphamide structure, and the molecular general formula of the internal electron donor compound is as shown in a formula (I) which is described in the specification. In the formula (I), substituent groups R1 and R2 are the same or different and are at least one of H, C1-C20 straight chain or branched chain alkyl, C3-C20 cycloalkyl, C6-C20 aryl and C7-C20 alkaryl and alkoxy aryl. The electron donor compound is a phosphamide compound, so that the catalyst has higher activity during propylene polymerization reaction.
