According to the present invention, a DC bus power supply (4), which is a power supply device, supplies power to a load capable of switching a state thereof between a driving state in which the load is driven by receiving power and a standby state in which driving is stopped while receiving power. This power supply device comprises: a diode bridge circuit (8) and capacitors (9a, 9b), which form a rectifier circuit capable of rectifying an AC voltage through each rectification method of full-wave rectification and voltage doubling rectification; and a switching unit (11) which switches between the full-wave rectification and the voltage doubling rectification on the basis of a voltage value of an AC voltage and a state of the load. 作为电源装置的直流母线电源(4)向能够将状态切换为接受电力提供而驱动的驱动状态和接受电力提供并且停止驱动的待机状态的负载提供电力。电源装置具备：作为整流电路的二极管桥电路(8)及电容器(9a、9b)，能够通过全波整流和倍压整流的各整流方式，对交流电压进行整流；以及切换部(11)，根据交流电压的电压值和负载的状态，切换全波整流和倍压整流。
