Summary: | The invention relates to a detection device (10) with at least one sensor device (11), an analysis device (32), a light source (30), and a flat carrier medium (12). The carrier medium (12) is designed as a waveguide on which a coupling region (16) and a decoupling region (18) are provided. The coupling region (16) is designed to couple light (100), which has been emitted from the light source (30) and reflected on an object (40) in the surroundings, into the carrier medium (12).
