The invention discloses a piston insert ring, an assembling method of a piston casting mold and a piston insert ring clamp. The piston insert ring clamp comprises a clamp body with a clamp head and a clamp handle; a clamping jaw is arranged at the end of any clamp head arm body; an elastic piece is arranged between clamp handle arm bodies of the clamp handle; all the clamping jaws are scattered when the elastic piece is compressed so that the piston insert ring can be supported outwards from the inner circumferential wall of the piston insert ring; and all the clamping jaws are gathered when the elastic piece resets and stretches so that the piston insert ring can be clamped inwards from the outer circumferential wall of the piston insert ring. The clamping jaws can achieve clamping and locating from the inner circumferential wall and the outer circumferential wall of the piston insert ring. Based on the two different clamping manners, the assembling relation of the piston insert ring clamp and the piston ins
