The method comprises the following steps: monitoring that the mobile terminal is awakened to turn on a screen in a low-power-consumption mode; when the mobile terminal is switched from the screen-on state to the screen-off state, acquiring the awakening duration of the mobile terminal in the screen-on state; and controlling the mobile terminal to enter a low-power-consumption mode when the wake-up duration is less than or equal to the preset screen-on duration. By adopting the method, the time for the mobile terminal to enter the low-power-consumption mode can be reduced.
