Summary: | The invention provides application of OsABF1 gene in rice breeding regulation and/or rice seed viability mechanism research, and belongs to the technical field of botany and biology. The nucleotide sequence of the OsABF1 gene is as shown in SEQ ID NO: 1. The amino acid sequence of the encoding protein of the OsABF1 gene is as shown in SEQ ID NO: 2. Compared with a wild type (WT), the seed germination rate of an OsABF1 gene over-expressed plant (OsABF1-OE) is obviously lower than that of the wild type (WT); and the germination rate of a mutant osabf1 rice seed is slightly higher than that of the wild type (WT), but is obviously higher than that of the OsABF1 gene over-expressed plant (OsABF1-OE). Thus, the OsABF1 gene is a potential candidate new target for synergistic rice stress resistance, rice seed breeding regulation and/or rice seed viability mechanism research.
