The invention discloses a plunger and a wellhead gas production system. A long hole extending in the axial direction is formed in the plunger, a first liquid inlet channel communicating with the long hole is formed in one end of the plunger, and an atomization channel communicating with the long hole is formed in the plunger in the radial direction; a plugging piece is arranged in the long hole and is in sliding sealing fit with the inner wall of the long hole; and the plugging piece is configured to move from the balance state to the atomization state under the pressure effect so that liquid in the long hole can be sprayed out of the atomization channel. When the plunger works in a well, the plunger can move up and down under the action of pressure in the well to drain accumulated water in the well, the accumulated water below the plunger can enter the upper portion of the plunger through the atomization channel and is pushed out of a well opening by the plunger, and the water drainage work efficiency of the
