Summary: | The invention relates to the field of rubber modification, in particular to a method for modifying rubber by cardanol derivative. The invention firstly provides a preparation method of the cardanol derivative. The preparation method comprises the following steps: S1, reacting epoxidized cardanol with trimethoxychlorosilane to obtain an intermediate 1; S2, subjecting the intermediate 1 and amine alkyl trialkoxysilane to a reaction, and obtaining the cardanol derivative. The phenolic hydroxyl group of epoxidized cardanol and the epoxy group on the alkyl chain are simultaneously modified by silane to obtain the novel rubber modifier. When the modifier disclosed by the invention is used for modifying phenolic resin-nitrile rubber, a product can have better adhesive property on a glass substrate.
