Summary: | The invention discloses a preparation method of low-carbon low-oxygen-position sulfur free-cutting steel, and belongs to the field of metallurgical manufacturing. The method comprises the operation steps: (1) converter smelting; (2) converter tapping; (3) deoxidizing and alloying; (4) LF treatment; and (5) continuous casting, wherein the low-carbon low-oxygen-position sulfur free-cutting steel is finally generated. The free-cutting steel prepared through the method has few surface pores, the product quality is improved, the continuous drawing heats of molten steel are increased, the quantity of waste blanks is reduced, and the production cost is reduced.
