An image recognition method and a device thereof and an AI model training method and a device thereof are provided. The image recognition method includes: retrieving an input image with an image sensor; detecting an object in the input image and a plurality of characteristic points corresponding to the object, and obtaining real-time 2D coordinate information of the characteristic points; determining a distance between the object and the image sensor according to the real-time 2D coordinate information of the characteristic points through an AI model; and performing a motion recognition operation on the object based on that the distance is less than or equal to a threshold. 本发明提出一种影像识别方法及其装置及人工智能模型训练方法及其装置。影像识别方法包括：通过影像感测器获取输入影像；检测所述输入影像中的物体及对应所述物体的多个特征点，并获得所述多个特征点的实时二维坐标信息；通过人工智能模型根据所述多个特征点的所述实时二维坐标信息判断所述物体与所述影像感测器之间的距离；以及当所述距离小于或等于门限值时对所述物体进行动作识别操作。
