A tightening device (10) tightens a bolt (A) to a work piece (B) in a state where a main body (11) is engaged with the bolt (A), and includes: a magnet (11b) that holds the bolt (A) with respect to the main body (11); and lower cam members (15) that enable fixation in a fixed state where a binding force on the bolt (A) is larger than that in the held state by the magnet (11b). The lower cam members (15) are capable of maintaining the fixed state before the tightening work of tightening the bolt (A) to the work piece (B) is performed and releasing the fixed state after the tightening work is started. 本发明提供一种拧紧装置，容易掌握螺杆等被拧紧构件的接触状态的变化，并且也能可靠地进行紧固。拧紧装置(10)在本体(11)卡合螺杆(A)的状态下进行螺杆(A)对工件(B)的拧紧作业，且具有：磁铁(11b)，将螺杆(A)保持于本体(11)；以及下凸轮构件(15)，能以对螺杆(A)的限制力大于磁铁(11b)的保持状态的固定状态进行固定，并且下凸轮构件(15)可在进行对工件(B)拧紧螺杆(A)的拧紧作业前维持固定状态，且在开始拧紧作业后解除固定状态。
