Summary:Disclosed are a hearing aid, an operation method thereof and a corresponding data processing device. The hearing device includes: first and second microphones (MBTE1, MBTE2) for converting input sound into first and second electrical input signals (IN1, IN2); and an adaptive beamformer filter unit ( BFU), configured to adaptively provide a synthesized beamforming signal ( YBF). The adaptive beamformer filter unit (BFU) includes a smoothing unit configured to change with time according to the covariance of the first and second electrical input signals (IN1, IN2), as the time constant for smoothing changes, adaptively changing and smoothly adaptively elements of the covariance matrix to provide an adaptively smoothed covariance matrix.
