The photochromic material is formed by self-assembly of a beta-cyclodextrin subject and a viologen compound object, the molar ratio of beta-cyclodextrin to a unilateral substituted viologen compound is 1: 1, and the molar ratio of beta-cyclodextrin to a bilateral substituted viologen compound is 2: 1.
